The Home page is gone. I can't find any alternative, unless perhaps it is to use Advanced Search for the user which is your own user name (sorted by most-recently uploaded, I suppose). That's way too much trouble. I would check the Home page as often as Forums, at times, to see if there had been any new rating and/or download activity on recently-uploaded sounds, or to page through all my uploads once in a blue moon.
Now it's gone. That's not good.
Hi zimbot,
Can you be more precise about what precise features you would be missing so we can see if there's a way to bring them back? By reading your comment it is not clear what things you can't do with BW that were possible with NG.
If what you mean is that the small sound display does now show rating and downloads info and therefore you can't see if there have been new downloads and ratings for your sounds, then I can say that we'll look into re-adding that as it has also been reported in another thread.
Otherwise you can click on "all sound by USERNAME" link in the profile page and get a paged list of sounds with all the usual info.
Thanks, I wasn't aware of the "All sound by USERNAME" button. You are right that this provides the same info about sounds, but it takes a couple of minutes of navigating and clicking to get to it.
That ends up requiring about 8 clicks, with some scrolling and so forth between steps, to get the same effect of what used to be a single click ("Home"). By default, it shows only one sound per pack since the search results are grouped by pack -- the Home page never did that. The Home page had a list of groups along one side and the sounds in the center.
Hi zimbot,
Maybe we could add a link to "your sounds" in the three dots menu that goes to "all sounds by USERNAME" but without pack grouping. In fact, something similar was planned but not implemented. I guess that would address your concerns?
