Hello,
One issue I've been running into with Free Sound is the volume difference between the website and other programs I may be using (such as my DAW). Where I lower other programs volume from within the program themselves, Free Sound doesn't allow this.
With no way to lower the volume of Free Sound, browsing the library while doing other audio work often results in sounds playing far too loud from the website. While using the computer's volume control would aleviate this, it is pretty inconvenient to have to turn down my computer every time I want to play a sound from this website, then turn it back up to go back to work.
Is there a way to implement a global (or site-wide) volume control? An example of this feature may be Soundcloud, where transport and volume controls appear at the bottom of the screen. FreeMusicArchive has a similar transport control, but no volume control. I do recognize that on these sites you can only play one audio file at a time; a limitation that Free Sound doesn't have (yet?).
I'm not sure if this is feasible or even desired by the developers, but I know I would certainly utilize such controls. Being able to independently change the site's volume would allow it to fit into my workflow pretty seemlessly.
Thanks for reading!
