This is way down my list of serious issues but should be easy to fix...
Quotes in forum replies should be headed "posted by *strangely_pedantic* (on *date*?)"
Not so important if quote snipped from previous reply in the thread perhaps, but quote and reply are without context and might refer to a comment from several days/weeks/years ago.
I had to scroll up to find context on your latest post for instance.
Luckily it was on the same page otherwise I would have just shrugged and moved on.
Also replies count should be -1 so it doesn't include the original post.
Hi,
Quotations include the name of the user who wrote the text, but not the date. Also in some of my messages I create the quotations manually using the blockquote
tag, and in this cases I might not include the username if the message is directly above. I agree we could add the date in the quote function.
About the number of replies you're also right that the number is not correct. We'll look into that. Thanks for reporting!
Thanks Frederic.
I hadn't noticed the username was included for other quotes in replies.
The date is not that important, but seemed to be a missing clue when I was trying to find a context for your reply.
It's just another source of confusion.
This minimalist approach is causing an endless stream of confusions for me (and others I think).
I'm afraid I am not adapting to it as I did going from fs1 to fs2.
fs2 was already a down grade in usability from fs1 in terms of info density per screen, navigation and visual migraine.
fs3 has transported it into the desert.
Sorry.
