I notice next to all the user names in the forum posts (above them actually) some pic has gone missing. Get the red-x

I had started getting the red X ... but after switching from IE6 to Firefox, I get the FS logo.In fact, the link you gave produces the FS logo for me!

Hmmm...I am using IE7...Red-X
sigh...
you know what we web developers call Internet Explorer?
Internet Exploder.
It's a piece of $*#@!!!! Just switch to Firefox and all your red-X troubles will be fixed. And you'll be less prone to virii, spam and add/mal/...ware

Microsoft is preloading a lot of libary stuff into the main memory at the system startup which is required be the IE and MS Office as well. Of course, this service exists exclusively for their own tools. AFAIK there is a similar function for firefox in newer version but I am not sure. How many seconds do you need to launch FF ?

But how can we be sure it was red?
Confidentially, you can't be sure.
You, my friend, get several million points for being skeptical. I will only swear to it being an old style marker - with quite a pungent and toxic odor.
No warning what-so-ever... It's probably 20 years old.

The other I have heard is "Internet Exploiter"
I maintain my own site too, so I use it as my customers will probably be using it (80% or so from my web-stats).
I am just being an 'average' customer here
