As the history (known by you??) I think yes. All files that have to wait for longer than (I think) 3 minutes it happends.
My short files (about 30 in one time, 1-5 sec.) there was now problem. See pack http://www.freesound.org/people/klankbeeld/packs/8089/ .
If you ask me: Timer for queue not set propper.....
good luck

Hi Kyster, just check that the file or combination of files do not exceed 1GB, we won't change this limit for now. If you have problems with single smaller files let us know!gerard
Well the file is only 571 mb, and it was the only file i tried to upload, so theoretically it should mean no significant problem. But of course, web does not always behave
Ok, just an update.
I tried yesterday, and today again, to upload a single sound, but from a different computer. But also this time i failed to get the file uploaded.
Some specs:
Windows vista
Firefox (newest version with clean cache)
Wired connection
Filesize 219 mb.
Filetype Wav.
Just wanted to test again, but got the same I/O error.
I still have problems as well:
This is at my pesonel-page:
Sounds that have not been processed yet
steam-whistle 03.wav, uploaded on Oct. 6, 2011, 11:14 p.m. Processing state: Failed
wilt u het bonnetje er bij.wav, uploaded on Oct. 4, 2011, 9:40 a.m. Processing state: Queued
So i've been trying to upload on and off, but this puzzles me. Yesterday i had a couple of short sounds, both under 60 mb.
First try didn't succeed as usual. For some reason it looked like every time the screensaver turned on after 5 minutes, the download was interrupted, so i decided to turn off the screensaver, and bang, upload succeeded. Second sound i tried again with screensaver, but got error again. Turned it off again and the sound was uploaded too.
Very odd!
Third sound was about 218 mb and was rejected, but i only tried once.
There's not logic in this.
When looking at the upload statistics, it shows that on larger files, the upload speed drops a little all the time, until it reaches zero and then just stops.
Kyster I start swetting when I have to upload.. Always one by one..

Kyster, could you retry with google chrome?
just to see if it's a browser issue...- bram
I'm trying on firefox and chrome (chromium, the linux version) and both are latest versions.
I have the same error on Opera and Epiphany. All four browsers seem to stop for no reason. The majority of uploads stops even before a single kb is uploaded, and if they get going they seem to reach an upper limit on about 70 - 80 mb, before the upload comes to a complete halt.

Any chance to try on another computer from the same network?- bram
Yes, i have tried two other computers as well. One winvista with Ie and FireFox. The other was a Linux box as well, with chrome and FireFox.
Ok, somethings wrong here, i've moved past the 80mb mark on an upload right now. I shifted to another router, and are using opera as browser. I'll post an update.
Hi Bram,
I think something is realy wrong.
I'm white-listed but this is my status in the homepage:
Sounds that have not been processed yet
kneading with food mixer.wav, uploaded on Oct. 21, 2011, 4:37 p.m. Processing state: Queued
food mixer kenwood kneading.wav, uploaded on Oct. 21, 2011, 4:29 p.m. Processing state: Queued
steam-whistle 03.wav, uploaded on Oct. 6, 2011, 11:14 p.m. Processing state: Failed
wilt u het bonnetje er bij.wav, uploaded on Oct. 4, 2011, 9:40 a.m. Processing state: Queued
groetjes
Kyster: can u share those files with me via a dropbox URL or anything else?
Klankbeeld: please don't hijack forum threads with unrelated errors. That said, we will look into this. Please don't reply here, I don't want this tread to deviate even more, thx!

Yes i can. Just hold on while i upload a file.
Hi all. We added a new way to upload files via plain old html form. This one does not support multiple files at once, but perhaps it will work better for large files. Can you guys try? Click the "switch to non-flash version" in the upload page.

I just tested it, and it seems to work quite alright. It was just a 56 mb file though, but it did upload and that's a good leap forward for me

It works, but I was uploading at the flash ono-by-one and that works alsow well with greater files.
thanks guys for the alternative
