Hi there,
I'm just browsing in order to get some inspirations. There are so many great field-recordings! However, it is tedious to find suitable stuff. I want stereo recordings of good quality. Wouldn't it be nice to have some advanced search that can consider things like file formats (e.g. no mp3), stereo/mono, length (e.g. not just short 0,5sec snippets... rather in the range of 30sec to 10min)...
There are quite some pieces of information given from the files themselves that are stored somewhere already. I'd wish to be able to query for them.
What do you think?
Best,
DrNI
OK next time I'd better just open my eyes... http://freesound.iua.upf.edu/searchText.php
but still mono/stereo/multichannel (are there surround recordings?) and file format options would fit there well.
