Hi to all freesounders.
[edit from first post]
I noticed that freesound has few tags with spaces. So there are tags like "field-recording" but little more. Don't you think there should be more use tags with spaces? For example to add (and eventually search for) "english horn" or "bass guitar" or even "classical guitar" etc.
I imagine that completely "free" tags might lead to noise if misused (you could get tag strings like "me telling off at the dog as it was trying to sit on the bed" etc.), but I guess this is not a big problem because freesound allows for more descriptive comments as well as tags. Also sound publication is moderated which would help in maintaining good practices for tagging.
[first post which I admit was probably not 100% clear ]

If you put all your words of one tag between this "" you have tag with spaces. Spaces are visible by this sign - . so i thin this is very clear system
Thanks Robinhood for pointing that out. Although you will agree that using "" is more near to the "programmers'" world than to the "music/audio" world: as a matter of fact I see very few tags containing spaces... maybe just casual.
What I meant was also to push people to use tags with spaces (like in the examples I made). Anyhow probably your post can help people - like me - learn better how freesound works and use it even better
Lorenzo
Acclivity, yes, I probably expressed myself badly.. ops: What I meant is that apart from tags like "field recordin" spaces seem to be seldomly uesed, while probably searchability would be improved by using them more.
Hope now this is clearer.
Regards,
Lorenzo.
