Hi, I just joined and tried to download a pack (141 MB). It's really slow, with wild swings in speed (monitored with activity monitor) from lots near zero to occasional peaks of my max ISP speed. Both last night and today, the same pack got to around 117 MB downloaded, and then just quit (zip.part is 117 MB, zip file is zero, and of course no way to salvage anything from it).
Is there a daily limit this pack exceeds, or is this normal luck of the draw (sometimes you can download, others not, etc.)? Thanks for any clarification.
FYI: I test downloaded http://freesound.org/people/juskiddink/packs/5069/ which took an hour. The archive unpacks correctly and the files seem to be in order.
Do you have issues downloading files anywhere else?
No, I never have problems downloading anywhere else. I recently updated Komplete 9 from NI which included some files that were over a GB without any trouble. Just after the trouble on freesound, I test downloaded something from somewhere else - there was no problem. The weird thing was that both times I tried it stopped around the same place, even though I left it running for almost an hour after the traffic stopped in the hopes it would revive.
Thanks for the info that it worked for you.
