I also have this problem with FF3 on Windows 2000. The play button is there, and I can click it, but nothing happens. Flash is definitely installed correctly as I can play Flash games etc. Also, it works in IE6, but I don't really want to use IE.

Same here. Often happens if I open the Freesound page twice (two Firefox windows).
FIXED (Adobe Flash Player 10.0.12.36)
My web developer at work was surprised to find that one machine on our LAN had an older version of Flash player installed in the browser which would not play his attract loop on the new web site he was developing. So it is possible to encounter an incompatibility between Flash versions, which would account for why one browser can play it while the other on the same machine can not.

Seems to be fixed in the latest Adobe Flash Player Version 10.0.12.36: http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer
