How is a half-star rating possible if the lowest rating a person can give is one star ?

Maybe an error in the algorithm ?
While we're on the subject , an ego-search with the filter "Rating(lowest first)" shows the first
result as "meaty buzz.wav" which has three stars ...
however due to trolling I have recently accumulated many one-star ratings.
The one-star ratings should have came first in that particular "Rating(lowest first)" search.
[ come to think on it the half-star ratings should have come first in that search ]
Just a thought Timbre,
If the rating was given pre FS2, when the scale was one to ten, then a one star would translate to a half star. Of course, if this is a recently acquired half star then my logic does not pertain and this query is going to plague me all day! (opening thought: FS has been hacked by an CIA/NSA program, the Syrian Electronic Army or covert other intent on discrediting a politically dissenting viewpoint. Have you upset anyone lately - other than the usual suspects.

Thanks strangely_gnarled, that explains it : the half-star was on an old (2009) request.
[ However the filters on the Freesound search facility definitely aren't working properly :
not only are the "Rating(lowest first)" of my ego-search not in order, but there is a bias towards recent sounds : the first page of "Rating(lowest first)" results entirely consists of 2014 contributions ]
As strangely_gnarled says, the half star probably comes from FS1.
But timbre seems to be right in that sorting by rating (lowest first) does not seem to be working.
However, rating by highest first do seem to work. We'll have a look into that!

No , that's not working properly either.
If I egosearch with the filter "rating (highest first)"
then look at the last page (86) it includes a 3 star ...

With the filter "rating (highest first)" the last page should all be zero star.
