Hi there, after I click 'download' it just takes me to a grey screen where the only option is to play the audio file, am I missing something or has something gone wrong? Could it be because I'm trying to do it on an iPad?

That's the sound I'm trying to download by the way, I'd really appreciate it if someone could help me,
Thanks!
Have you tried downloading any other sounds with your iPad? Or is it just this particular sound that won't download?
I know for a fact I can't download sounds from web pages on my iPhone, it will just play them with quicktime player, so maybe it's the same for iPad, not sure because I do not own one.
Try pressing and holding your finger on the yellow download button, this may give you some more options for what to do with the link.

Hi there, don't worry, it's all sorted now.
Yeah it wouldn't work on the ipad for some reason, but did work on the laptop, it must just not like apple products or something,
Thanks for the help anyway!
No, the problem is with iOS itself. They won't allow you to download things in the usual way. You have to go through set channels, for example, iTunes. There's even a problem downloading audio with dropbox i've noticed, despite being able to download video files.
Apple mobile software is highly restrictive in terms of file sharing and availability. Just one of many caveats to being an Apple software user.
Apple purposefully designed the iPad to be app-centric as opposed to file-centric. Their hope was to make you forget files even exist. (This is supposed to be easier.) So, you need to find an app that allows downloading sound files from the net. Maybe try VLC, as I know it can at least play sounds from the web.
