Hello all,
Downloading over 30 individual files one by one can get pretty tedious, especially if you have disabilities like RSI. Would be helpful to be able to download your category folders in a few clicks. Downloadable category folders would also function as a useful pseudo online storage solution for groups of sounds which users only need to access/use occasionally (and would possibly encourage users to upload more of their own sound collections to 'store' for later retrieval or extra backup)
Came here just to look for this. I like to browse Freesound for all the necessary sounds at once and put them all into the same bookmark before downloading them. Was pretty dismayed to see there was no feature allowing an easy download of all the files in a bookmark folder. I think it would be a great feature that would make organising and downloading files much easier.
Hi,
We recently made some changes that would make that possible, but still have to discuss whether we should or not implement it.
Maybe that would be possible with a limit to the number of sounds (to avoid unnecessarily big downloads). We'll keep you posted.
Thanks for the suggestion,
Thanks for replying, Frederic! I look forward to hearing of the deliberations. The limitation on download size seems like a reasonable idea. Perhaps large bookmarks folders could be downloaded as separate zip folders?
Hi,
Thanks for raising this again. We have not moved forward because we have a "bigger" idea for evolving Bookmarks into something more interesting and we have not further developed current bookmarks. I'll take this opportunity to discuss again this feature with the team

Hi,
We find the proposal certainly interesting and we added to our list. Can't guarantee when something like this will be working but sooner or later it will

I find this an interesting idea.
Maybe pressing the 'dowload' button should only create a temporary file that would be deleted after 24h.
Otherwise this feature would consume a lot of disk space with multiple copies of the same soundfiles.
