When I recently uploaded two sound files, I saw a message about the new support for m4a files, described as lossy only. Well, all sound files on my computer are stored as lossless m4a (Apple ALAC), so I tried an upload of two files as a test: one mono, one stereo. Both uploaded, both are now downloadable, but the stereo file is listed as mono (but it downloads as stereo).
So, there are two problems here:
1. m4a can be lossless. The info that says m4a is a lossy format should be changed.
2. Lossless, stereo m4a files show up as mono, but they actually download as stereo.
Hope someone can fix the above.
Hi guyburns,
Thanks for notifying this, we'll look into the mono/stereo problem and update the text about m4a.
Can you put here a link to the particular sound with which you've had problems?
Thanks!
Hi again guyburns,
The bug which caused your problem should be fixed now.
Feel free to try and see if it works for you
