I'm selecting options under search (sort: date added first, uncheck: group by pack), hitting the button to get results, but web browser does not remember my settings (56.0 32bit) at all.
Is this on my side or on yours?
Hi ayamahambro,
I'm not an IT geek but I think this is how things work -
Settings and preferences for a web sites are usually stored on your computer using a cookie. Persistent Login is a good example. Looking at my cookies from Freesound I can't see any cookies that could remember the settings you describe, so I guess the answer is these are not remembered. I have no idea how complicated it would be for Freesound to add server code to do this but I imagine it's quite complicated. They need code to compile and send a cookie, to interrogate it each time you visit the site and then instruct your browser to "fill in the boxes" every time you visit that page.
So I guess that nothing is broken but it just isn't implemented.
If I want to do repetitive stuff on line I use copy and paste into a temporary (or permanent) text file on my desktop as a work around. At the moment I have 5 such .txt files I use regularly on various sites (but none are for Freesound).

The problem is on both 2 browsers I use (firefox and chrome) and 2 operating systems. It worked some time ago. So, yes - the search is broken.
Hi,
Thanks for reporting this!
This is indeed a bug which we have fixed in our code but have not yet deployed to the website.
It will be fixed in our next release Monday morning
