What about taking a few piano lessons?
like just enough to learn the scales(do,re,mi,fa,so,la,ti,do)
.......and the arpeggios(do,me,so,do)
I think this would open some doors,
and it's healthier and happier than asprin.

in RapidEvolution open the piano, in the edit window,
and look at the field at lower right, close to ok button:

by default it show single note,
if you choose major and play a note
the program will add the major 3rd and the 5th
thus composing the major chord of any played note.

with minor you'll have the minor 3rd and the 5th, the minor chord for the played note.

the tonic will be displayed at lower left.
notice the double name:
D#/Eb because
D# is D half a tone up
Eb is E half a tone down
thus D# = Eb

easier to try than to read!

As someone already said, you only have to learn the sharps or the flats as they are the same in some cases. Also each minor has a corresponding major... C major is A minor E minor is G major, etc... So I think I narrowed it down to learning 7 modes and on a guitar without black keys it's fairly easy to just move the patterns around. Throw in a blues scale. a slightly altered harmonic minor and maybe a pentatonic scale and you can play 95% of all western music you will ever hear. All you have to do is slide the patterns around on the fretboard, well I am a bass player and leaving out the dreaded b and e string jump you have to compensate for... I wanted to devise a tuning that kept the pattern the same up the strings because that one note adjustment on the b string throws off my modal form of playing with the 3 notes on every string as opposed to the traditional way starting on the tonic with your middle finger and only playing two notes on the first string of the major scale and only playing two notes on that b string... I hate non symmetrical patterns when it comes to scales..

On a keyboard it' a bit more complicated but much easier to play chords and scales and no blisters! so it's trade off. I was thinking of inventing a keyboard without the black keys as they are a pain in the ass to hit sometimes because they are shorter and raised up higher. That way you could just take that pattern technique on the guitar and transfer it to the keyboard and you could play about anything out there with a decent synth.
