Hey, thanks for reporting! Sometimes counts go out of sync and we periodically "fix" them. This case is very strange because normally the difference is very small. I fixed the count of downloads anyway. Cheers.

I'm also curious as to who moderated the sound?
This sound sounds like it is possibly a public domain sound but I can't tell.
It sounds like a westerner piano riff used in movies as an opening scene and I swear I've heard it a thousand times.

Maybe I'm paranoid, but I was thinking 'bot activity,
(1000's of automated downloads of the same sound, a waste of freesound resources),
to put a sound on the front page of freesound for a week,
a sound which has an external link in the description.
