Has anyone else received crude and unsolicited Sexual emails from a 'member' of this site in their private message box?

There is NO way to Block, ban or REPORT them to the MODS. Scumbags like these just ruin the site. Sure their impact is relatively small, but I was just curious.

Harassing other members (for no reason whatsoever either) is a detriment to any site.

Just putting it out there.

The team will check and when it is a Spammer it will be deleted.

For me it works fine.

Not sure if it would help but it seems to have mitigated this issue for me by going into your settings and appearing offline.

My theory is that whatever bots these spammers use hijack the online users database and periodically spam them.

I use to get spammed quite often through PM's when I appeared online, haven't had a single one in ages now that I've appeared offline.

Now that I've said it, I'm gonna get spammed 🤔

Thanks Franki for raising the issue. I'll forward the suggestion for a block feature to be implemented in the future. It's definitely something worth doing.

I've taken care of this particular user/incident. The user was not a spam bot, but just a plain harasser. I won't name and shame them because I haven't banned yet, instead issued a warning, but whoever was involved please let me know if it continues and i'll look at escalating.

@Erokia - That's a good suggestion. You'll be pleased to know that since the last time we had the abuse of the private messaging system, some behind the scenes features were implemented to stop them from being able to do it. So hopefully that shouldn't be an issue now.
