I wonder if it's possible to edit and reupload / reassign a sound file? Either I'd like to make simple filtering straight into the browser, or I would like to be able to just change some of my already uploaded files without having to delete them, just be able to exchange the file after some editing.

Why not. These sounds are yours

You don't have to delete the original version if you upload a similar version.

That's like swapping the number-plate from one car to another, (same URL).
it's going to cause confusion, & perhaps legal problems.

You'd also have to go through moderation again,
as the re-upload could be completely different from the original which passed moderation.

I vote to stick with the current system: no re-uploads to the same freesound number/URL.
