All sounds I dowload from this site are PCM format but my computer can't open an PCM file so it says it's damaged.
So does anyone know how to solve this problem? :?
Hi illegale harry,
If you can tell us what computer, operating system and software you are using I'm sure it will attract potential answers from people with similar set-ups.
ehrm  that's the problem
I just tried it on ME
but i Think I better can use another computer
Hi illegale harry,
There is no intinsic reason why ME won't handle all the file formats from freesound properly.
I think the info in this thread
http://www.freesound.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4569 will be helpful to you.
I think the suggestions I make about the sound card might also apply to your situation. Although Windows ME will have no problems with the files, because it is an old OS you're probably using old hardware too in which case the sound card is quite likely in need of updating, especially if the computer's sound is embedded in the motherboard i.e. no dedicated sound card installed.
Keep smiling.
okey thanks guys
it helped a lot
I've a few programs installed now and they al can open these files (3 different kind of programs)
so now i can also make some sounds to place on this site
