Aah, I haven't returned to this post in a while. I forgot I had made it, but now everything is running smoothly with no slow download time. Thank you very much Bram.
Hi guys,
I am experiencing this problem since a couple of days now. It is an undeniable change in speed that I wish I could account for on my end, but I cant The highest eta I have ever seen here was about 20 minutes for large files. Now 20 minutes is at times the minimum dl time. So, something definitely happened.
Is this thing still being looked into?
Thank you!
Tom.
edit: seems that it got better already. I will post here if the problem persists or worsens.
Same problem here too. We have a relatively fast internet, but the downloading speeds on this site are ridiculously slow. 34 MB file takes 20 minutes to download. I really hope you could fix this soon, because I have very little time to foley-finish my project.
I seem to keep experiencing failed downloads, alongside what I would consider slow-er downloads, at least comparatively to what I used to get.
I have a 100 Megabit connection, which is working well, and recently I have normally been receiving somewhere in the neighborhood of 200-250 kilobyte downloads with occasional slow downs to 30 kilobytes and spikes up to 500 kilobytes from Freesound, with quite a few downloads failing sometime during the transfer.
Freesound used to essentially max my downstream out. Also, I dont seem to be experiencing this anywhere else on the web.
November 2020, still 15 minutes for 73 MB.
Meanwhile, a 7GB movie downloads in 5 minutes.
Any update?
Thanks!
