If this works it's your FTP application that breaks.
When using another FTP applications, make sure it is not set to passive mode + make sure it's set to BINARY transfer.

Hi Bram, an thank you for your quick response.

I tried to connect via the Terminal and her'es what I got :

Connected to iua-freesound.upf.es.
421 Service not available, remote server timed out. Connection closed

FTP applet is broken too....

(Oh, I can't upload an Avatar either... but that's non-important... )

It's the terminal or whatever internal ftp protocols that translates freesound.iua.upf.edu into iua-freesound.upf.es... hock:
