Happy 2010 to all freesounders.
I wonder if another idea for searches is to search for all the sounds recroded in a particular country?
On:
www.soundtransit.nl
Users are given the option to search by country, and list all the sounds recorded in that country, for example my own; the United Kingdom.
Is this something freesound can look at?
I feel like if any sound that was recorded, is country specific (Brazilian Jungle, Italian Alps, etc..) it would be in the tag, name or description; which in effect would give you the option to search by country.
What is the different between a bottle smashing on the ground in the UK or in Canada? (with all other things being equal)
Unless you are some sort of crazy nationalist.
Hi Justin,
No, I did not mean for the sort of examples of which you talk. What I mean is for ambiances, such as stations ETC it is good I think to know where it was recorded.
However, I think this often happens in file descriptions anyway, thus linking I suppose to the last topic I posted on long descriptions.
