Does anyone know how I can download the freesound files to a MAC? I can covert the .WAV to mp3 easily, I just can't get them onto my computer.
Basically the right click and save, which is an option the MAC doesn't have. I tried control-click, but it didn't work. I'm using Safari to try and save it.
MAC does have the right-click-and-save: you only need a 2button standard usb mouse
I have no idea why your ctrl-click shouldn't work. Though I've seen reports it can be enabled/disabled in VMware Fusion, if you think you might have messed with it, check it out.
I'm on a mac too - when I right click, I can only save my file as an html. Anyone know a fix for that?
When I Control (right) click on my Mac and "Save downloaded file as" It says it's saving it as a .wav, then actually saves it as a html file. I think this is what people are getting at.
Anyone know how to get around this and download the file? I'm using Safari. I've also tried with Firefox and still no joy.
Well, Safari I don't know, I've tried it in the past and had no problems with it then, but maybe a newer version of it has the same bug Firefox has, which seems to be unable to use right-click on files to be downloaded. I personally use Opera and have no problems with it (other than that the latest version crashes often, but if you can get Opera 10.10, all should be well).
Otherwise, just link here to which file you're attempting to download and I can provide an alternate url.
