I recently downloaded a great sound from freesound.org. I had no trouble downloading the wav file. I can play the file on my computer. I want to play it on my iPod. I can download the file to my iPod, but it won't play. Then I tried burning the file to a CD. I can play the CD in my computer, but I still can't get it to play on my home, portable nor car CD player. What am I doing wrong?
to play a wav into your iPod you first have to import it in iTunes, then connect the iPod and synchronize it with iTunes.
(check the importing options inside iTunes preferences: the wav should be converted in mp3 by iTunes, because iPod plays only mp3)
to play a Cd in a normal player you have to burn the Cd in "music" format (not a data Cd, not a mp3 Cd): find this format inside the burning software, usually it's described as "music Cd for standard players".
hope this helps. welcome in the digital mess

consider mp3 bitrate: never less than 128.
192 it's good for iTunes
