DId you know that user Thalamus Lab is running a request for compositions for a collaborative album?
What if we geve them a hand ?
The rules for the composition are as defined by Thalamus Lab:
http://www.freesound.org/people/Thalamus_Lab/
There is a link to the rules there. It is very simple. All you need to do is use sounds from a vast collection of high quality sounds that Thalamus Lab has selected from Freesound.
ALSO REMEMBER:
- This is part II of the Signature Sound mega-dare. So you have to make use of your signature sound again (the same sound you have used in dare 31).
- Did not participate in dare 31? - No problem. But then you should submit at least 2 music pieces, both containing your signature sound. (read the rules of dare 31)
- Also note that Thalamus Lab accepts multiple entries. - So, get working!
Deadline is 1st March 2015.
Ready. Signature sound audibly 2 times. I think I’ve done everything… Add track to XLS-group, mail Thalamus and now writing here. Notice my aviation theme - sample selection, signature sound and “art work”

Here is my collab with Luckylittleraven
https://soundcloud.com/alienxxx/thalamusic
This was one fun piece to make!
Uses my signature sound, the Jew-harp (although with some distortion)
Luckylittleraven's signature sound is the didgeridoo (some of the didge sounds also suffered some abuse... mostly Live's warping and stretching).
I didnt make it...
I was stretching a sample when I suddenly got a blue screen and the computer restarted.
After that everytime I try to open my saved project I get a blue screen again.
Maybe I will try to start over... but I dont have an entrie for this dare.
Hey that is too bad Marius...
If that was me I would be running anti-virus software, then would back up all my data.
Scan the hard-disk for errors.
Then try restoring the system to a previous date (I am assuming your operating system is windows).
I am closing the dare.
New (musical) dare will open soon. In the meantime, there is Dare 33, which is a sound manipulation / sound design challenge.
