if anyone feels like writing a detailed "how to add files to freesound" tutorial, please us out...
it seems like some people still have trouble adding files to freesound...

something detailing each step with lot's of "howto" would be nice.

ahh! i'm still behind schedule. i am working on it though. i have about 75% of the text done and i am working on adding some screenshots. i haven't forgotten. just balancing between school / family / work.

i uploaded 3 files and then i tried to describe them.
I clicked on "make new package" then i described, but after all there came error message :" sample not found".
then i re-launched ftp client and realized the files are not there anymore, so i uploaded them again. But now there came error message: "sample already in database".

can please someone help?

when the files arent in your ftp directory it means that they are being processed by the server and then moderator by the moderators (like myself).
I just added your files to the database.

Sorry, but Im competely confused about uploading files. There must be an easier way? I tried the Jarva and got a red cross. I can't handle too much complicated reading. Ill try again later.

Hi - I will try to do my first upload in some minutes.

One thing in the instructions made me uncertain:

Your project name / User name

Does this mean i can enter a project name slash user name?
Guess not.
Is project name a folder name on the server?

u need to use the username from the forum to log in... Basicaly the usename you use to log into freesound.

Rangtangtang => there will be a detailed "how to FTP" tutorial up in a while

I uploaded files, then set descriptions. They just kept disappearing with no indication what happened. javascript:emoticon(':idea:')
Status indicators and more documentation are a priority before you get too far ..imho
