The world would be a much poorer place if we all spoke the same language, my great-grandparents were Russian, it is a beautiful language indeed. There are sounds of flies here in Freesound, and I remember a mosquito somewhere, and crickets. Recording insects isn't easy, but a few people here have done it.

My great-grandfather was a syphilologist, so yeah, I imagine he had lots of work but it wasn't exactly easy. It was before pennicillin.

Russia produces lots of amazing experimental music. (Check out www.archive.org) If anyone can figure out how to earn a living making bizarre sounds, it'll be the Russians. Hope they'll share the secret with the rest of us.

I have never wind-surfed. The sea is not beside me, it is about 3 hours away. I think that wind-surfing would be fun, but I don't have a car (vehicle, automobile) to get to the sea.
