Dear all,

pls imagine someday the devil visits you and tells you, that you have to choose between either to become blind or to become deaf. What would be your answer?

Most people say "deaf", but what will you say as an enthusiast of sound engineering?

Answering that question is hard.

Beethoven was able to accomplish so much without hearing, which might have been impossible if he had lost his sight instead.

On the other hand, he didn't have computers at his disposal.

Losing either would be tricky... given the choice, I might still lean towards keeping my sight... but I've got a plan either way.

I'd keep my sight. It's much harder to get around if you're blind.

I was gonna say blind but this is the first time I've answered this question in text, so, yeah blind actually. Both are nightmarish to imagine though, I'd rather lose a limb anyday.

Could anyone post a sample of what the looks of a very beautiful woman sound like?

And just to keep on staying off topic : Freesound is remarkably a men's business. I wonder why. Anyone doing scientific research about that?

Ah, Freqman, I've just found it... I was too early... thank you... I'll ask some of my friends of the female persuasion if they can identify themselves with that sound Although I'll ask them about Boccherini as well, you just never know...
