Looking for a synth for a straight up beginner. Ive never used a synth before so it has to be easy to use and easy to program. Also under £200 is vital, I can go used. I seen the MicroKorg and Alesis Micron but Harmony Central forum say they are not suitable for beginners as they have minikeys and are hard to program. So any suggestions please?
Thanks
i own a microkorg and there's nothing complex about it. i would say its great for beginners. the site probably said that because the korg has phat sounds and often there are haters out there trying to keep people from getting the same sounds that the critic has. yes it has small keys-but yeah and? you aren't going to be playing a microkorg like it has 88 keys.
and honestly the korg is pretty straight forward-nothing tricky about it.
i'd buy that-but then again i own one and so i guess i'm biased
2nd hand Juno IMO (any but alpha Juno) or an SH101/MC202. Simple but vast. You will learn alot.
