Hey Alfred I am new also.. Still trying to get the gist of how this all works here.
welcome people, welcome!
may as well jump on the bandwagon!
'ello all, BlacKSacrificE knocking! I have also just signed up and am looking forward to adding what you have here, big into making evil ambiance and industrial music. I'll throw some samples I have made up when I figure out how to, but in the mean time..

Hello everybody. I just joined freesound in 2006, so I'm a little new here too.
Post Scriptum: Blacksacrifice, me can't wait to hear some of your industrial samples, I love that stuff!

I'm a newbie here also. Cool forum that reminds me of the indiegamer forum that I frequent. I'm a game and education software developer and I love playing with sounds.
Tom
Hi Tom, I am new also, and I have a bunch of video game sounds that I made recently for a platformer ( I make games too ). I will share them once I get things organized. Some are loops of machinery sounds, and other stuff. some are hits. A couple of them sound suspiciously similar to certain arcade games , but I promise you guys that I will >never< upload anything that I didn't make myself. :!:
Welcome welcome all!
@BlacKSacrificE: Thanks for following through, nice uploads so far! I personally like that kind of discrete recording/sound effect a lot, and most of what I've uploaded has been in the same vein. It's interesting to see what people do with it.
@streety: being an uploader does of course give you cred, but I hope you didn't get the impression that I (or anyone else) was ignoring you because of it. I think bram has an exemption as he is often very busy. Without him (and now the team) doing what they do behind the scenes, Freesound would of course fall apart.
@Nurykabe: A hellobot? I like that, don't know why. Perhaps it's a sleeper agent with a more sinister long-term agenda.
ciao a tutti = hi everybody = salut!
I spent hours reading the forum and hearing sounds, and think that Freesound is a rich, interesting and stimulating place.
I'm a newbie and hobbyist, play keyboards and accordion, know something of music but nothing about recording - then I bought an Edirol R1 and started go around recording. hope my uploads will be useful for somebody, but I surely will take from FS more than I'll give - informations, so precious for a newbie. the Forum is a rich source of knowhow about the audio area; licenses are an extremely hot matter and I've learned more in Freesound than in months of netsurfing. the fact that all this started from a University is a plus, imho.
thanks Bram and all the moderators and people working for Freesound! you all do a precious job =°)
