Hi Folks,

I found this site whilst doing a google search, looks great. I'm looking forward to sharing files and ideas with you all.

I've uploaded some wavs, it's 12 files, each one is a footstep. I haven't
put a description in for them yet as it wanted a description for each one.
Is it nessecery to put a description in for each one or can I put one description to cover all of them?

IMHO it would be better to make an individual description for each file unless the files are very similar and show the same in different versions.

erdie; They are 12 footsteps all recorded at the same time and then split
into 12 individual wavs. Anyway, I'll work something out and get a description up on them.

Descriptions are essential, though they need not be full scale reports on the sound. For your footsteps it might be useful to say "footsteps recorded in *such and such* environment with *blah blah* material on the floor and it sounds *whatever* quality".

Also, in my opinion, your footsteps would be more useful in a single file, so maybe upload the composite too? (if you think its worth it)

OK, Ive put a description on each one and tags and they have been accepted by forum. I'm afraid I didn't keep the original recording (shame on me) so can't upload that. I used these on a film project I was working on and they worked really well!
