I remember hearing a name that would sound the same if you played it forward or backward. It was really odd that it worked out that way. Does anyone remember this persons name? So basically you would say some name like " Joe Smith" and if you recorded it and played it backwards it would still say "Joe Smith".
Tom
No, it was a two word name that you wouldn't expect to sound the same forward and backwards. I heard it on a radio show and tested it out on my computer many years ago. I thought it was quite interesting.
Tom
on the net I found this: "The house is on fire" (same forwards and backwards)

But is not a two words name  ...
That"s better to do an recording of many names and reverse that hock: ...

"However, this does not guarantee that a reversed recording of any of these words will sound identical to non-reversed speech.
because certain pronunciations can cause a shift in the articulation of the vowel, differentiating the beginning from the end in its pitch."

:? :?
I like the name "Forward/Backwards Same Sounding Thingy", but I realize that's a bit of technical jargon.
Actually Phonetic Palindromes is way cool, I wonder what that sounds like backwards?
