First of all, I'm 54 and not a computer/sound whizbang, but I do have some good moments. Today I joined the site at the suggestion of my young son. He said, "Find the sound you need, then right click on the download and you can save it to your computer."
BS
I hit the download tab and the sound played great, but no where as to how to download it, so I went back and right clicked on the tab. All sorts of stuff about copying links save link, cook links till well done, but nothing about "save target" or "save target as".
Now what?
Cool sounds abound, however, so I know the problem must be me.

Welcome to Freesound, daddynichol
lets take Brams samples for example.
lets say you wanna download a sample from the Alfonso - Kargyraa sample pack.
Open the Pack by left click on it.
Now all sample that the pack contains will appear.
Now try open the first one ( alfonso_low_01.wav )
just left click on it.
There is a "Download" button.......move the mouse cursor over and right click, now "save as"
i use this method by myself ( because left click this button will the start the Media-Player ).

Hey, daddynichol,
Something of a newb here myself. In Firefox the option to take from the right-click menu is "Save link as" in Opera it's "Save target as"
and i have a "Samples" folder on my desktop set up to receive the downloads. Not sure about IE but it must be a very similar process. hope this helps!
Happy hunting, ben.
