can any of these sounds be sent to a phone to be used as a ringtone?....if so, how is that done...and if not....((....
i have been looking for old school telephone ringers for my phone and can't find the right one on other sites but i have found what i wanted, right here....so, if any one has any ideas...let me know...thanks and happy new year all !!!!
Well I don't know how cell phone ring tones work but you could try to download the song and email it to your cell phone.
I think ringtones have to be a midi file? I don't know I don't know a cell phone. But I hear that many are midi files. In which case you'll need to convert the wave file to a midi file. I believe there are a few programs out there that do this....again i'm not sure...but I believe that i've heard this before. I don't use midi nor ..as i've stated..do I own a cell phone
well....i tried sending like the "simon" suggested but it don't go....comes back saying the attached file is to big....as far as what "ls" said..i'll look into that today...but there has to be a way...or else how are others making ringtones in the first place...and even if it's a program somewhere that converts for you for a price...i'm sure there is a crack somewhere as well.......this is turning into a mission of mine..hahahah.....thx guys..
well the i believe them convereters are free. as i've said...i've heard or read that most ring tones are midi files. I'm going to assume you dont' know what a midi file is? (not hating just assuming)
but like i said. i'm not sure. I think it might be the other way around. you can convert midi to wave not wave to midi
anyway good luck
If your phone can connect to the PC you can obviously transfer the file that way. Mine is also an MP3 player and all the ringtones are MP3 or MIDI. In my case I can convert to MP3, transfer over USB and then select the MP3 as a ringtone.
You'll have to look at the options for your phone but using Bluetooth from another device is another possible option if you've got it (and MP3 ringtones are supported).
