If your audio editor supports it save as BWF (broadcast wave file), this lets you add all kinds of usefull info about the sample. Also (Not least important) you can add your name so that the person using the sample can always traces back whose samples he/she (ab)used. This ofcourse is very practical to comply with the CC licence.

Hi, Anton. Thanks for the tip. I use Adobe Audition and it does not offer this
option, unfortunately. Which editors do you know that have this option?
Thanks. Andrew
Synapse
If you're a logic user, then use the SoundTrack Loop Utility to finalise the sample. It will let you add meta-data to the sample and also make it easier to loop (it will be an aiff with the Apple Loop data in it)
Thanks, Synapse. Andrew
Adobe audition definantly supports BWF files andrew.
Check under save as the file types... If i find some spare itme today ill look up the exact locations again...

Thanks. It must be a bit hidden, cos I couldn't find it. Maybe "wave options"? Andrew
Hi Andrew,
Press CTRL-P when in edit view (info box will come up with lots of stuff to fill in (way too much and too technical for me but some fields might be usefull).
Then when you save, you should tag the "Save extra non-audio information" box in the lower left corner of the save-as dialog.
