Hey
I'm interested in using a sound from here that is a recording from an old computer game. Obviously the person who made the recording is ok with a creative commons licence, but what about the producers of the original computer game? Is it safe to assume that because its posted here it been checked out as ok to use? Or is it possible it isn't cleared for use by the original source?
Onle like this.

It says in the description its a recording of a handheld game tronic device, can it be assumed that the makers of the device in question don't have the audio copyrited?
Noticed there was a legal section after posting this, sorry.
