Hello, do you have an option to mass download all files?
It would be exceptionally useful, as I am about to embark as a Deck Cadet and won't have internet access for months. I can make my own graphics, though not sounds.

I am more than willing to make a donation for this, just don't have it be more than ~50€ or you would make this a difficult choice to make.

I just send the message above to freesound through the contact form, but I'm opening a thread to make sure I may get an answer asap, as I said I'm about to embark as a Deck Cadet in either late February or early March.
If you are running on donations, why not offer extra services to people who are willing to donate such as batch download many files? And together with each sound file, perhaps include a text file that details the author, the lisence, this website, and any other related info.
XCode offers the option to download all Apple documentations offline, there are many ways to have the whole Wikipedia offline, and it's very easy to even have WoW to explore the world offline, so why not have freesound available as well, if you can monetize on it?

There are over 100,000 sound samples on Freesound, it must run to several Terabytes of data.

Your internet provider will probably charge you more than 50€ to download several Terabytes of data,
(and it would take weeks).

Not to mention that my current storage which totals about 500GB (which are backed-up) would not cut it.

Are you absolutely sure that you will not have internet access ? Many ships do via satellite coms, though I don't know what the protocol is concerning downloading. Email is possible though.

No Internet access for me! The ship will have satellite phone, but it will be very expensive. It is also likely to have Internet access, though that would only be for the communication of the Captain and the chief engineer with the company. Even if it is available to the rest of the crew, it will be more expensive even than the satellite phone. And as a cadet I will be earning 1/3 of what a third officer makes (6000€ in containers), at best.
