I have been trying for the last couple of days to do some recording, but it seems everything I want to record exists on freesound (is a shot at my below-average creativity when it comes to recording ).
So what I would like to ask is this:
What sounds did you try to look for over here at freesound that you either had a difficult time finding or weren't able to find at all? I'll try to record some sounds based on the replies I get if it is within my reach (and others who have things within their reach might be able to help record, also).
Thanks for anything that you can add to this thread!
I don't really see a problem with making/recording sounds that other people have already recorded. Each sound will be somehow different and your sound might be just a little more perfect than one already here. Another thing is that when you start to record some ordinary sounds often you might start to think something like "what other way can I record this that isn't normal?" (that's how I think anyway). Even recording the same thing with different microphones or mic placements can be interesting and helpful assuming that you describe those differences in a useful way. Even if only one person downloads that sound it was worth it.
I'll tell you what I need quite often is "silent" crowds. By this I mean just a group of people sitting and waiting, without talking, such as in a courtroom, or an office waiting area. This comes up for me more often than I can mention, and it's difficult to find these particular sounds in libraries. I'm hoping to try and record some myself soon.

I miss multiple persons beating a drum, would love to hear the ritme of one beat then more join in on same (big) drum.
