I was just wondering...
What are some of the most unique, rare, extreme, odd kind of sounds on Freesound?
The inside of a whirlwind? The last animal of a dying species? Nuclear fission? A collapsing building?
Found anything like this?

Contact mic recordings? Yes, for sure!
What about recordings made with coils (i.e., picking up all sorts of electromagnetic interfeerence)?
What about recorfings made with or from failing/broken gear?
Some people have done extreme things with microphones, putting them inside things or even buried them (inside some sort of protective plastic cover, of course).
There are some under water recordings.
I remember a recording of an imploding building, but that sample was later deleted by the uploader...

Maybe that thunderstorm recorded by a (very young and famous) mountain climber just before dying (frozen) in a Himalayan summit? (yes, it's a shitty mp3 but so unique!)
Sarcasm aside, this way even the average tv audience might become interested in otherwise boring sounds
What about the ability to create "collections" by those who search for sounds (like packs made by uploaders) and find unique themes according to their view? Even if I'm using tags and/or keywords and/or advanced options - usually I can't find anything new, and after extensive search - I don't remember what I went through earlier. So the proper question should be - what kind of FS extensions would allow to find more cool stuff (and and in a more accurate way)? What kind of networking between sounds would add a few words here? I would think in this direction.
