I just uploaded my first sound in ages! Let's hope it gets moderated quickly!
same here. I didn't see my sounds have been assigned to any moderators and I wanted to figure out if it was normal process.
but not a lot of informations here.

The sounds will usually get assigned within 2-7 days (during which most of them will be moderated immediately upon being assigned), depending on how many moderators are active. So hang in there!
As uploaded sounds are added to a general queue, re-uploading sounds if they haven't yet been assigned will make the moderation process longer as your re-uploads will start at the end of the queue - so try to avoid that if you can.
I re uploaded because I initially uploaded at 32bit resolution and the small (I) icon appeared as red.
So I re uploaded at 24. Still red but I won't loose my turn that time and let it like they are.
Actually, 32 or 24 shouldn't appear as... Red.
Anyway, fingers crossed for a positive moderation

I believe they only appear red if they are outside the standard CD quality (44.1kHz/16-bit), if they have a very large file size, or of an uncommon file type.
So it doesn't mean that your sound file has errors / has something wrong / or is of an unsupported type, but rather to let other users know that "oh, this sound has quite a large file size, make sure you have enough space!" or "this sound was uploaded as a .Strange_File_Type and might need another program to play it" etc.
I upload at 24-bit depth quite often and have yet to run into any issues from that red exclamation.
To be honest I think you should drop your service or make it with costs, If there's not enough manpower to get the sounds moderated quicky. Uploading sounds and nothing happens is embarrassing and does not value the work of the uploader.
I am not going to upload anymore here. Sorry.

You probably won't read this since you deleted your account, but I'll comment for anyone else reading; waiting a few days for moderation is quite regular across sound websites. Other sites such as AudioJungle took me a few weeks for my sounds to get moderated, and Pond5 was even worse at over a month. And those are huge, commercial sites with substantially more moderators than the few active volunteers at Freesound. So the few days you have to wait for moderation here isn't long at all.
Though, since your comment does seem to suggest it was longer than a few days (of course, I can't check since you deleted the sounds), it is quite possible a moderator had left a comment on your sounds asking for further action to be done before we could approve it. Typically, you would get an email saying a moderator has responded, but sometimes emails get lost, skipped and so on, so I would highly encourage anyone with pending uploads to check your uploads here to see if a moderator has responded.
Headphaze's first post in this thread has more tips for getting your sounds through quickly, but in short, the sounds that go through moderation the fastest are those that have the most clear and detailed descriptions (saying how the sound was made/recorder or software used/date/location/etc.). A good description with some of that information means we know you created the sound, and so we won't have to follow up to make sure the sound wasn't taken from a copyrighted source (which unfortunately happens quite often).
Hello! I uploaded a sound a couple of days ago: a short sequence I played with theremin.
If anybody could moderate the upload, I would be very grateful!
Thanks

Thanks, very kind!
Ten days and counting - should I be worried that my submission "Space Hulk Engine Room" might have been overlooked or is it just because it is the summer break?

Waiting for moderation.
Any problem?

Hi,
It's the middle of the Summer. Chances are many of the Moderators (who are volunteers) are away on annual holidays. Probably nothing wrong with your submissions, just fewer people around to mod them.

You are welcome Samuel
Happy recording and uploading.
