Hi there again.
I’m shure there ara something wrong.
My sounds have waiting in 3 week to be moderated and
I dont’t know why. Now I will wait a few days more,
then I will delete the sounds and try to upload again.
Hard to belive it’s only a summerproblem.
For me it’s use to take betwen 3 days and ome week.
At least you‘re not alone, my sounds are not reviewed since three weeks as well.
I will keep waiting. Seems like they don’t have the time right now to review new sounds.

I'm on the same boat as well. Almost 2 weeks now and no moderation.
Hi, it seems like the moderators (myself included) have been away or busy. I'm starting to work through everything, but the queue got pretty big so it will take a bit. Hopefully everything will be back to normal shortly. Thanks for your patience and contributions!
I currently have three sounds in the moderation queue... and have had for 17 days.
Seems like Freesound has become a victim of its own success... significant numbers of new uploads and not enough people to facilitate their processing.
Having been a moderator of a popular music technology forum I know how much work goes on behind the scenes so I'm not moaning.
But maybe the mods need to have a long hard look and email exchange about how this situation may be avoided in the future - at the very least by having a front-page banner that says that moderation will take upwards of three weeks. Managing expectations is key...
Hmmmm.... guess it sounds like I'll be waiting a while (not been waiting 17 days yet, but if 3 sounds have not been moderated in 17 days my 29 sounds (some of which are long) will probably be sitting around for longer than that unless there is a radical pick-up when people come back from vacation). I understand the difficulty of relying on volunteers, but I must confess this doesn't exactly encourage me to upload or record any more (at least for this site). Hope things will pick up soon!
Thanks Bram
Encouraging to know that moderation in general is under review.
I don't want to blow my own trumpet, but I've been involved in various aspects of pro audio for over 40 years. Now retired so time available... happy to help with modding if it's appropriate.
Best. Mike
Wow... Can strangers be a moderator too? I love that kind of work. You know, checking things, translate things and all that.
If the uploads were indexed according to the date of moderation, it would have been better, one problem would be solved,
the time when sound is seen at the beginning of the sound list.
No one will find your sound if it appears 3 weeks after the upload. In my iPhone are 3 weeks about 18 pages back in the list how many scrolls so far?
So with the moderation date as a guide for when a sound will appear, I think it will get better. Currently, some seem to be moderated the same day they upload their sound while others may wait longer. With such a change, it would not have such a significant significance
Sincerely

I actually agree with this. Seems logical to do it this way.
