Top right of the screen, there is a yellow button called "upload sounds".
That takes you to another screen where you can select the files from hard drive.
There are also some rules and instructions on that screen. Please reqd them before uploading.
After uploading one or more sounds you need to press the "describe sounds" button. You will need to add tags separated by spaces. Use "-" for words that need to be kept together (for example: bang loud explosion firework year-end).
A description could be for example: "fireworks recorded with my iphone from my balcony at 2012 year end."
You will also need to select a copyright license to be applied to your sound. There should be links on the upload page and elsewhere on this site explaining licenses. I won't cover them on my explanation.
You can also add sounds to a pack. Usefull for keeping similar sounds or sounds from the same recording sessioj together.
After that you have to wait until a moderator reviews your sounds. This could take several days. There are over 400 sounds waiting in the queue at the moment...
The moderators check all sounds to make sure they comply with the rules and to reject copyrighted sounds.
If the moderators have questions about your sounds they will contact you - you should receive an email to the account you registered with Freesound. You will also get an email to inform you if your sounds are accepted or rejected
