There are a lot of high quality sounds on this website, and I had a question about the file size.
One file I had seen was about 60MB, the preview for the file (which is the whole thing) loaded much quicker than 60MB would on my connection.
My question is: are there 2 versions of uploaded sounds stored on freesound? a lower quality preview file and a higher quality file meant for download? I have really limited bandwidth with my current ISP so it would be nice to know =] Thanks!
I believe so. The preview always sounds a little lower in quality. Check the file information on a sound's page (it's usually somewhere on the right). The higher the bitrate and the sample size, I think, the larger the size. But it yeah, the file size you download is usually bigger (because it is better).
