Hi,
I'm editing a film at the moment, and we have a scene in which a farmer walks into a barn and realises that rats are eating his harvested grain. We really need the sound of lots of rats (or at a push, mice) for an infestation in the grain store. Ideally some scurrying away sound as well, which we will use as the Farmer approaches. We didn't have the Indiana Jones budget to breed a load of rats for the scene, so the sound is going to be telling this part of the story without associated visuals.
It isn't a plague of rats, just maybe 20-30 squeaking, scurrying, eating the grain. Perspective-wise they are out of sight so quite wide I guess.
I know this is really specific and so don't expect lots of fast responses, but anything anyone could do would be amazing! It's quite a challenge I think. Obviously ideally someone actually has an infestation of rats they can record, but failing that slim possibility, any creative Foley work people can think of would be interesting to hear...
Many thanks in advance,
