Hello guys,
I am working on a technological documentary - and it features some robotics. I am keen to recreate something using actual mechanical/electronic sounds - at least formulate something to hand over to a composer to use as a guide/final score.
Are you able to help me piece it together. In particular - keen to get the actual backing track sounds in place - the little beeps at the end - the right tone. I am finding an endless loop of closing tabs down on base beats, alarm clocks, phone dials etc...
The humble sine wave can be very useful for things like this. The BBC uses it in not only its news jingle but also its Click documentary, which is all about the latest gagetry and websites.
Also modems, watches, printers and copyers make a lot of quite musical sounds.
Hope this helps.
