I've had a request to create experimental sounds, such as:
White noise, Brown noise and Pink noise types plus combinations
3D Spinning (binaural)
Solfeggio frequencies
Alternative tunings away from standard A440
Any suggestions or help appreciated
Namaste

Some of those things can be done easily and for free with Audacity
http://audacity.sourceforge.net/
It has a noise generator for white, pink and brown noise; it has a tone generator that lets you specify the exact frequency other than the waveform, useful to reproduce the solfeggio tones.
You could use it also to explore different tuning systems knowing their frequencies, but for this it could be easier to use specific VSTi's like Regula by XOXOS: http://www.xoxos.net/vst/vst.html

Thank you copyc4t for the quick and positive reply and for the links.
I had been using my old version of Cooledit for the noise generation. I will look into Audacity and experiment with it. If I can help in any way with any projects you are working on, let me know.

Maybe this could be some inspiration for you

Read the sound description for more info.
Yeah the binural sounds seem to have some good scientific studies to back them up. Very interesting what the right audio frequencies can do to the brain.
