Although the spam report is ok, it goes into a pool and has to be sorted; people may not be alerted in good time. If I raise a spam issue in the mod group, a site admin will usually act upon the request immediately.

That's what I originally thought, that it'd get queued for deletion (just like moderation), which may take longer than just alerting someone to this.
All the spam seems sorted now, so good!
