Hi there,
sorry if this was answered before but, when did we lose the ability to tag sounds that aren't yours? Sometimes it allowed me to help people with (even) less knowledge of sound-related vocabulary than myself, I miss this feature.
Cheers
D
I never have seen that possibility. The system gives tag suggestion by it selves.
I was sad when that feature wasn't carried over from Freesound 1. Before FS2 I added quite a few tags to sounds, some of which were perhaps posted by non-native English speakers.

I imagined that, thank you. Too bad, it was a nice feature indeed

Hi,
as strangely_gnarled said, the feature was lost in the change from fs1 to fs2.
According to our records, less than 1% of the tags were added in this way, and we decided to remove the feature.
It may be possible that in the future we see again something similar, but for the moment it will remain as it is.

I miss that feature too. I wonder if it was not often use due to lack of interest or rather because many people did not know it was there.
However, I also see the potential for abuse by trolls, spammers and discontented users.
Considering how difficult it would be to police/moderate such a feature and how much damage can be done by malicious users... I can see many points against having it.

Ok Frederic, thank you. Its only that every now and then i find great samples poorly tagged, a real pity... In these cases i miss the ability to help. Thank you anyway.
Salut
