hi

this may be a stupid question but im not afraid to ask them.
i just downloaded some samples but they are .flac files. ive never heard of them. my computer wont recognize them. i have a mac and at the moment am just using garageband 4.1.2

i think garageband only recognizes AU files. but to be honest i just read that i dont really know anything.

is there a way to get the samples into garageband or do i need another progam to open it with? or do i just need a new recording program? im thinking of buying logic studio.

plz help as im desperate to start making F#ked up sample drenched songs.

You need MacFLAC to decompress the files into .wav or .aif (both of which Garageband can handle). AU generally stands for Audio Unit which refers to the plug ins, either effects or instruments. But to confuse things a bit I think there is an older file type .au.
