I came across this site trying to do some background search on KoopaTroopa63.
For some reason, this site loads freesound's page home page, and weirdly, I still appear signed in on that page. I tried clicking on messages there, and it shows me all my messages.

I once tried to embed yahoo's code on my site just to play with it and learn from it, but chrome wouldn't let me access my own page saying it looked like a phishing scam.

I expected something similar to happen here, but no, I was able to access my freesound messages through lessonpaths.com

Logged in to Freesound then I visited your lessonpathsdot.... link via Firefox 36.0.4 but I was not logged in on that page and couldn't myself access personal information. I did not attempt to log in, for reasons of being phished, as you noted, and left without exploring much further. The Freesound page they present does appear to be current and not archived.

Even though I did not appear to be compromised, you are right afleetingspeck - it looks like a very dangerous threat to anybody who unwittingly visits. If you appeared logged in to the clone site, either your browser (which one by the way?) is auto sending log in info somehow, or the search engine you were using knows more about you and your computer than is comfortable, or there is a security bug at Freesound.

Which search engine did you use to find the link? Did the link you actually pressed contain extra code like google links always do?

I don't know enough about all this stuff to offer any further ideas.
